Lady Gaga Embraces Aijism in Music: “Though Some See Women in Their 30s as Past Their Prime, I’m Just Getting Started”

Lady Gaga’s Acceptance Speech

Lady Gaga embraced Aijism in the music industry during her acceptance speech at the 2025 Iheartradio Music Awards, stating that she was “just warming up.”

Reflections on Her Career

The singer made these remarks while receiving the Innovator Award at the Dolby Theater in Los Angeles on March 17. In her speech, she reflected on her career as an ongoing journey and challenged the music industry’s perceptions of age.

“I do not quite know how to think about it, because it is difficult to understand the reward in honor of my entire career at 38,” Gaga expressed. “On the one hand, I feel that I have been doing this forever.”

She continued: “Innovation is not about violation of the rules.”

The artist also paid homage to her grandmothers during the ceremony, referring to them as “fiercely brilliant Italian-American women” who shaped her career path. “They did not invent technology or art.”

In addition to the Innovator Award, Gaga received nominations for Best Collaboration and Best Music Video for “Die with a Smile,” her track featuring Bruno Mars, as well as a nomination in her favorite category for the Chromatica Ball concert film.

Recently, the singer released her new album “MayHem” and announced a series of international performances, including shows in Singapore and Mexico, along with a free concert at Copacabana Beach in Rio.
