Kyla Grace Unveils New EP “CATS Can Surf” Featuring Lead Single “a Leith Ross Song”

Announcement of New EP

Kyla Grace has revealed her upcoming EP 'Cats Can Surf', set to be released on March 21 via Manifest Music, along with a new single titled “Song of Leita Ross.”

Details About the EP

This EP features seven tracks, following the debut single of 2023, “Glass Child,” and includes the recently released track “Berlin.” The new collection was crafted by Barns Noble, with the 22-year-old Watford songwriter continuing to evolve her storytelling approach.

Inspiration Behind the New Single

The track “Song of Leita Ross” pays homage to Leit to Ross’s “We Will Never Have Sex,” delving into themes of intimacy and romance. “I penned the song after an encounter with someone special. On the surface, it may seem like a quirky song about love, but a deeper listening reveals much more,” she shared.

“Upon hearing the phrase that we had never had sex from Leit Ross, I began to view closeness and romance through a different lens. It illuminated how rare safety and mutual respect seem today,” Grace continued.

“During that meeting, the person exemplified the sweet, beautiful essence embodied in this song by Leit Ross, considering me as more than just a physical connection. I crafted the song out of love not only for them but also for the inspiration that the original song brought to me,” Grace explains.

Currently, Grace is collaborating on new material with Hugo Silvani of Pale Waves and Benjamin Francis Lev, with Silvani set to join her live band, playing guitar for upcoming performances.
