Krept & Konan Launching an Inclusive Saveways Supermarket in Croydon.

Supermarket Launch Plans

Krept and Konan have revealed their plans to launch Saving, which is set to become the first significant supermarket in the UK focused on serving black, Asian, and ethnic communities.

Community Impact and Commitment

The British rap duo is teaming up with entrepreneur Kaysor Ali to establish a 15,000 sq. ft. store in their hometown of Croydon. Located at 102 Beddington Lane, the supermarket will generate over 30 new job opportunities in the surrounding area.

“We are thrilled to partner in this initiative. Our commitment to community representation and finding solutions resonates deeply with us, as we come from underrepresented backgrounds. Saveways is set to revolutionize our community, and we are eager to bring this vision to fruition,” express Krept and Konan.

Co-founder Kaysor Ali further states: “By merging our talents, networks, and enthusiasm, we aim to create a supermarket that not only caters to the community but also establishes a new benchmark for quality, inclusivity, and excellence in UK food retail. This collaboration allows Saveways to transcend the typical supermarket concept, becoming a symbol of cultural unity and advancement within our communities.”

The store will feature a fresh halal meat and poultry counter, a variety of exotic fish, a bakery section, and global merchandise, alongside household essentials and ethnic hair and beauty products. Customers will benefit from modern shopping conveniences, including click and collect and delivery options through platforms like Uber Eats, Deliveroo, and Just Eat.
