It has also been confirmed that Abu Dhabi will build a new sphere venue.

Kirk Hammett’s solo project and new Metallica album news

Recently, the Metallica guitarist revealed that he is working on his first solo album.

“I think the best way to describe this is as a fusion of all types of styles,” Hammett stated. “Suddenly, I’m writing classical pieces, then more complex arrangements, and even some funk,” he added. “There will be vocals this time because the songs I’ve written feature screaming vocals.”

Hammett also mentioned that he has already written 767 new riffs for the next Metallica album, though he anticipates that the band won’t begin working on it “for at least another year.”

Meanwhile, the group recently announced their first live performance in Bahrain, scheduled for December 3 at the Beyon-al-dana amphitheater.

Earlier this month, Metallica also released the first trailer for their upcoming documentary Metallica Saved My Life. The film is set to premiere in cities during the North American leg of the M72 world tour. The official synopsis describes the project as “not quite clean,” exploring the world of Metallica through the lives of their fans.
