Upcoming Solo Album
A cinema from the Pentagon teased his upcoming solo recording, which, according to him, will be “the most honest album in my life.”
Insights from Billboard Interview
Pentagon cinema singer recently talked with Billboard IN during which he discussed the topics of his upcoming solo recording and what it means to him at a personal level. Cinema said that his recently released singles Everglow and Skyfall are the first tastes of the new album.
“I do not want to show a movie a celebrity. I want to show the human Kan Heen-Gu. I think that I cannot determine one person: I have a lot of emotions and personality in my head. But I’m like a person, like everyone else: I suffer failure, I regret, I’m afraid, I cry, I smile,” he said.
Cinema also mentioned that he “plans a lot for this year” on a solo front, with the most important project being the album. “I am writing songs, and, as I said, I still find out who I am. I think this will be the most honest album in my life. It is very difficult to be brave, but I try to be an artist who can explore and achieve the next future,” he shared.
The Pentagon singer also stated that the album will not be a typical album; “it will be completely different (from the point of view) of genres and music styles.” He added: “At this moment I work with many different artists – maybe some fans may know, some of the completely different scenes – but one spoiler is ‘electronic sound.’”
The upcoming cinema record will be a continuation of his mini-album slated for May 2024, titled “If this is love, I want compensation.” In this record, the leading single “Broke My Heart” features American singer Lay Bankz and marks his first release since parting ways with his long-standing label, Cube Entertainment, at the end of 2023.
