Kim Kardashian’s Surprise Release
Kim Kardashian has unveiled a surprise cover of the holiday classic “Santa Baby,” produced by her brother-in-law Travis Barker.
Lo-Fi Version and Video Cameo
In this lo-fi rendition of the song, Kardashian delivers her lines in a low, husky whisper, accompanied by a saxophone and piano.
Notably, the music video, directed by Nadia Lee Cohen and Charlie Denis (who has previously collaborated with Tyler, the Creator and A$AP Rocky), includes a cameo by Macaulay Culkin. Throughout the video, Kardashian navigates a wild Christmas party, which features some rather unwelcoming Santa’s helpers, models engaging in Twister, and a man dressed in a creepy reindeer costume.
Culkin makes an appearance at the end of the music video, where Kardashian crawls towards him as he seemingly captures the chaotic party on an old-fashioned video camera.

Criticism from Fans
The song and visuals have faced significant criticism online from fans, many of whom were either perplexed by its release or deemed it poor quality.
“Wow, this is fucking stupid. When cornballs think they can make art,” one X/Twitter user commented.
“We need a way to communicate to the general public that just because something is bad doesn’t mean it’s good,” remarked another.
A third user stated: “Why does Kim try to resemble Marilyn Monroe? I don’t understand, since she’s not the one singing that song.”
“This is one of the weirdest things you’ve ever seen,” another user added.

Can everyone stop reposting Kim Kardashian’s Santa Baby nightmare fuel? It feels like every fifth post a visual image catches my eye and someone complains about how weird it is. Maybe just make a personal note and don't pass it on. Just an idea.

I know Marilyn Monroe is tired of Kim Kardashian… By the way, EARTHA KITT IS THE CREATOR OF SANTA BABY. Why does Kim try to look like Marilyn Monroe? I don’t understand since she’s not the one singing this song 🤦🏽♀️ pic.twitter.com/GwpgvftTi2

Nadia Lee Cohen, low-key, needs a better choice of who she will work with because the elements are here, but I think this is not what Kim Kardashian should do https://t.co/aedO1W99yf

This isn't the first time Kardashian has entered the music scene: she previously released the critically reviled single “Jam (Turn It Up)” in 2011 to support St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. Kardashian has since expressed regret over the release of that track.
