Kesha’s ‘TikTok’ Sets Streaming Record Following Her Performance at ‘New Year’s Rockin’ Eve’

Kesha's hit single “TikTok” achieved the most streams ever after her performance on Dick Clark's New Year's Eve.

The 2009 track garnered nearly 2 million streams on Spotify on Wednesday (January 1) following its performance in Las Vegas. It previously reached number one on the Billboard Hot 100 chart in the first week of January 2010, marking it as the first hit of that decade. The song also peaked at number four on the UK charts.

Taking to X, Kesha expressed: “15 years ago I got my first #1 song! YALL did it. And the fact that TikTok had its biggest streaming day yesterday just blows my mind. Thank you for supporting my love of art, you give me purpose.

“Thank you for supporting my art, you give me purpose. This song is for the wild ones, the party girls, the ones who are too pushy, laugh too loud and talk too much. I love you, thank you animals!!!”

Upcoming Performances and New Releases

During her performance, she also showcased her summer anthem “Joyride,” which will be included in her upcoming album, set to release later this year.

Additionally, she recently released another single from the album titled “Delusional.”

In 2025, she will head to the UK for a series of live performances, including a slot at the Mighty Hoopla in London, where she will share the stage with Ciara, Kate Nash, Pixie Lott, Lauryn, Vengaboys, Matja, Jamelia, JoJo, Erika Jayne, G Flip, and Daniel Bedingfield.
