Kennyhoopla has unveiled an innovative single titled 'Northern Lights //', marking his first new release since the summer of 2024.

Song Inspiration and Process

The track, featuring Kenny alongside Cole Lato, draws its inspiration from the sounds of youth and the trip aesthetic. Originally crafted for a more avant-garde project, it was ultimately released with an accompanying official music video.

“I created this song in my basement with my friend. It has evolved through various stages, but I believe it has returned to its raw essence,” shares Kennyhoopla. “During this time, I immersed myself in the sounds of 90s Shoegaze and Post Rock Bands. This song pays homage to Sonic Youth and Ride for being lifelines for me. It’s about embracing a journey without the need for elaborate production. This song embodies what can be achieved with the resources at hand, forging a unique path.”
