Touring and Future Plans
Late last year, the frontman expressed his excitement about touring in 2025 and mentioned that they had already recorded their 13th studio album, following up on Oochya! from 2022.
“Touring again with my best friends performing every hit in this band’s catalog because in the summer of 2025 people are going to huge outdoor gatherings and it excites me so much we should make a new album… oh wait… we already did that!” he remarked. “See you for a good time again….TUNE!!! TUNE!!! MYSTERY!!”
Recently, during an interview with Johnny Vaughan on Radio X, the singer confirmed the timeline for 2025.
“Yeah, our new single will be out in January and the album will be out in March, so we’re done!” he said.
One part of the plan for the coming year is a major show at the Royal Sandringham Estate in Norfolk on August 16th, where they will be joined by Blossoms and Jake Bugg, with remaining tickets available. Here.
They will also launch the ‘Stadium Anthems’ tour of the UK and Ireland in June and July, culminating in a significant hometown show at Cardiff’s Principality Stadium. A full list of dates and tickets can be found here.
Solo Career Insights
Jones spoke with NME last year about embarking on a solo career after announcing his solo album, *Inevitable Incredible*, in March. He addressed the “fear of going beyond the success of Stereophonics” that had affected him for a long time.
“But most of the music I was making was getting lost,” he expressed. “New music sometimes needs a concentrated space to be fully appreciated in the right environment and context. Many of the great songs I’ve featured as part of Stereophonics have gone unnoticed as anthems and radio favorites.”
“I want to make music the way filmmakers make films. Different subjects, landscapes, and tones from one project to another. I heard Ethan Hawke say something like, ‘Nobody cares about poetry or Yeats until their father dies, and then they need a poem to tell them what it all means at a funeral.’ I think this album reflects that idea.”
