Insights on Fame and Personal Growth
In a recent interview with Rolling Stone, the hitmaker of “I Kissed a Girl” revealed that she shared her insights on how to navigate fame and the challenges it can bring with two Grammy-nominated artists.
While discussing Doechii, who recently worked with Perry on the song “I Am His, He Is Mine,” the singer mentioned, “We had a lot of honest conversations. And I say: ‘Girl, here are the cheat codes. Try them. If you want to thrive, rather than just survive, and to experience life fully instead of merely being famous and hidden away in a hotel, you must embrace the beauty of it all.’”
She added, “Always honor those who have paved the way for you. I value where I am now and take pride in being someone who offers support. I genuinely check in and ask, ‘Hey, are you alright? I’m here for you.’”

Earlier, Roan shared that Perry reached out to her during a challenging time. The singer known for “Supernova” candidly discussed her experience with fan culture and her rapid rise to fame. Last year, she addressed the normalization of extreme fan behaviors, which she described as “stalking,” and highlighted negative interactions online that can feel inescapable.
She also likened fame to an “abusive ex-husband” and took to TikTok to express her thoughts on the “strange” and “terrifying” nature of some fans. She continued to discuss the “predatory behavior” exhibited by certain “superfans,” including inappropriate physical and social interactions.
When asked about her conversation with Roan, Perry remarked, “How are you? Are you okay? It feels like an intense experiment! Not everyone can handle such immense pressure, especially at this scale and intensity. It comes at you so quickly these days.”
“I had to embark on a journey to uncover all these tools and heal some of my own wounds,” Perry shared with the publication.
In other news, Perry is set to perform at the upcoming Fireid Benefit concert on January 30, alongside artists like Billie Eilish, Stevie Nicks, Joni Mitchell, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Gracie Abrams, Green Day, and many others.
