The pop star performed at Westminster Central Hall last night (December 11) as part of a new TV special for Christmas 2024, Night of a lifetime, which will air on ITV later this month.
Performance highlights and cheeky remarks
While showcasing fan favorites, Perry also gave a cheeky nod to her recent comments about her husband during her appearance on the Call her dad podcast, where she suggested she would reward him sexually if she caught him cleaning the house and doing the dishes.
During her London performance, she referenced these X-rated remarks: MailOnline reports that Perry thanked Bloom for bringing her a drink on stage and joked, “He does the dishes, he gives me water…”
She reiterated a playful acknowledgment later in the show while answering audience questions. When asked about Bloom’s most annoying habit, she remarked, “Maybe (not) being on time, which is always my New Year’s resolution,” before adding, “But I think maybe I don’t do the dishes… But it’s better for him now that I don’t do the dishes.”
Upcoming projects and performances
The couple, who began dating in 2016, share a four-year-old daughter named Daisy. Perry’s special Night of a lifetime will premiere on ITV in the UK later this month. This was one of her last performances of 2024, with several upcoming dates, including appearances at the Z100 Jingle Ball in New York on Friday (13) and the Q102 Jingle Ball in Philadelphia on Monday (16).
Earlier this year, the pop star released her seventh studio album, 143, and announced a UK tour for 2025, with £1 from each ticket going to the Music Venue Trust (MVT). The Lifelines tour has added numerous dates in Europe, as well as shows in Australia, Canada, and South America. Visit here for UK tickets and here for international tickets.
Upon its release, Perry’s song “143” was described by NME as “a record that occasionally hits the mark, but rarely leaves a lasting impression.” Despite the resurgence of interest in previously overlooked albums from artists like Mariah Carey and Christina Aguilera, it seems “143” may not achieve the same cult classic status, remaining a serviceable yet slightly uninspired collection.
