The track, which debuted as the potential BOP of Jody Bryant at BBC Radio 1 Future Pop, follows an impressive year for the Welsh artist, who opened for Stevi NIX at BST HYDE PARK.
Joyride delves into the impact of what Catti refers to as fourteen months of turmoil. “Everything I write tends to be painfully true to life,” they share. “In the studio with Nathan and Juliet (co-writer), I recounted my experience with a girl I met in the concert’s smoking area. I was infatuated with her for 14 months without ever having kissed her at the bar. My desire for love turned into pain, yet I couldn’t detach myself from her. I found myself ruminating on the situation for weeks. I’ve never approached relationships randomly; I would have followed that feeling to the depths of hell.”
