The Themes of the Track
This track marks the conclusion of Karin Ann’s “Through the Telescope” era, showcasing how a couple delves into themes of loss and self-reflection.
“I wrote this song about engaging with the darker parts of myself—those aspects you might be hesitant to confront, but which you need to process to move forward,” Karin explains. “Collaborating with Duncan felt so natural; his unique perspective added a fresh dimension to the track, something I never envisioned. I’m incredibly proud of what we created.”
Duncan Lawrence shares, “I have been a fan of Karin for quite some time, so when she sent me a demo of ‘Panting from My Words’ and invited me to contribute a verse, I didn’t hesitate. There’s something special about this song—her cello’s rawness and the way her voice pulls you into a cinematic dream amidst a beautiful storm. It’s an honor to be part of this project, and I can’t wait for everyone to experience it. Thank you, Karin.”
Recent Achievements
This release follows Karin Ann’s debut album, “The The The The The Telecopope,” which was launched last year. Since then, she has performed at the Sziget Festival, supported Mehro during his European tour, and joined Renforshort for select North American and UK dates. Additionally, she recently released a cover of Chris Isaak’s “Evil Game” and was recognized as the lowest brilliant Spotify artist of 2024.
