Kanye West Voices Support for Diddy and Chris Brown: “Free Layer”

Kanye’s Support For Didi And Chris Brown

Kanye West showed his backing for Didi and Chris Brown on a new list of X Messages – check out his statements below.

Kanye’s Controversial Remarks

Earlier this year, Kanye – legally referred to as Ye Now – returned to X (formerly Twitter). Staying true to form, he launched another controversial tirade on the social media platform, this time visibly advocating for Didi’s release from prison.

Kanye wrote on X today (February 7): “Free Puff.” He also called out other celebrities: “You watch how our brother rot and never say shit.”

Additionally, Kanye expressed support for Chris Brown, who has faced multiple accusations of domestic violence, including an attack on Rihanna in 2009 that led to a five-year probationary sentence and six months of community service.

Kanye stated: “We all watched how they tried to cancel Chris Brown, and no one did anything, I was a coward, and then Chris Brown was left alone.”

The latest controversy on social media arose after he disclosed in a recent interview that he had autism and believes he was mistakenly diagnosed with bipolar disorder in 2016. He remarked on the pressure he faces from fans, “When the fans tell me to make my album a certain way, I will do it the opposite way. It is frustrating for them because, as an adult, you can’t control me.” He also mentioned that he has stopped taking medication for bipolar disorder.

Didi is currently incarcerated, awaiting trial in May on multiple charges of sexual assault, sex trafficking, and racketeering. He has continuously denied all allegations and was arrested in September of last year.

As for Chris Brown, aside from the incident with Rihanna, he has faced police investigation over an alleged battery of a woman in 2021, which was later dismissed due to “insufficient evidence.” In October 2023, he was sued for allegedly hospitalizing a man after attacking him with a tequila bottle in a nightclub.

In February 2023, Brown reacted to renewed criticism following his collaboration with Chlöe Bailey, stating: “If you still hate me for the mistake that I made at 17, please kiss my whole ass. I’m 33 now. I’m tired of this narrative.”

In July last year, Brown faced a lawsuit regarding an alleged assault at a concert. Earlier this month, he filed a $500 million lawsuit against Warner Bros. after sexual violence accusations emerged from a recent documentary.
