Kanye West Unveils New Clothing Featuring Swastika Design, Declares “I’m Not a Nazi”

Kanye West’s Controversial Merchandise

Kanye West has started producing more clothing featuring the swastika, following a recent assertion that he was “not a Nazi.”

Recent Criticism and Social Media Activity

Earlier this month, the rapper faced backlash for selling a white T-shirt emblazoned with a large swastika symbol on his chest, labeled as “HH-01” in a nod to the phrase “Heil Hitler.”

Shopify subsequently removed the site, although the online platform later clarified that the removal was due to potential fraud rather than the sale of the swastika T-shirt.

West later took to X (formerly Twitter) to assert that he had been conceptualizing a T-shirt with this design for over eight years. This statement was accompanied by a series of highly controversial posts, in which he reexamined the Jewish community regarding his past anti-Semitic comments, declared himself a “Nazi,” and stated, “I love Hitler,” while also labeling billionaire and X owner Elon Musk as “the most fingering person who was once on Twitter,” following Musk’s comments about Nazism during Donald Trump’s presidential inauguration.

On the evening of February 19, West appeared to retract his previous statements, stating on X that after “further thought,” he had “come to the realization that I am not a Nazi.”

However, West subsequently showcased even more merchandise bearing the swastika symbol. In a recent post on X, he revealed images of five different T-shirts featuring the emblem, writing, “The product entering the crisp,” on February 22.

Kanye West Post on X (formerly Twitter)

This publication resulted in his account being removed and deactivated, which was followed by news that the rapper had been dropped by his talent agency and that his former chief of staff had departed from Yeezy.

West’s X account was eventually restored, where he remarked that his “Rampage” was “90 percent Jew,” hinting at his notorious anti-Semitic tirade from a couple of years ago, during which he infamously suggested that the Jewish community should “forgive Hitler” for the Holocaust—comments for which he later apologized in 2023.

At the beginning of this month, he made headlines once again by declaring “dominion” over his wife Bianca Tsenkori after they attended the Grammys Red Carpet, where she wore a sheer dress showcasing her figure. He also shared a series of tweets supporting Diddy and Chris Brown, calling for the former’s release from prison amid sexual violence accusations.

Following this online outburst, Kanye West’s team condemned his hateful speech, with Charlie Puth urging him to stop promoting “incredibly dangerous” messages. David Schwimmer, of Friends fame, called out the “Nazi” posts filled with hate, highlighting the issue of “silence-consumption.”

Moreover, a former Yeezy employee has filed a lawsuit for discrimination, accusing West of sending text messages containing “Hail Hitler” to a Jewish employee.
