The rapper and entrepreneur, now known as Ye, took to Instagram to share a lengthy post in which he expressed his frustrations against the German sportswear brand, claiming it was deliberately hiding his YEEZY website in Google search results.
Sharing a screenshot from his phone, the image illustrated that Adidas’s website ranked higher than his own YZY page—something the artist labeled a tactical move aimed at harming his business.
After several years of partnership, their relationship deteriorated through a series of lawsuits following the rapper’s anti-Semitic comments, prompting the company to terminate its sponsorship of the joint Yeezy brand. Since then, they have been embroiled in numerous legal disputes.
On Instagram, Ye stated, “When you go to Google Yeezy.com, the Adidas site comes before the Yeezy site. Adidas members, stop doing this. Stop doing everything to hold me back. Our partnership is complete.”
He elaborated on the reasons behind the fallout, asserting that prior to the anti-Semitic comments, he had already voiced concerns regarding the brand’s “design theft and harassment.” “You are a $60 billion company that has frozen my accounts. Now I’m back on my feet (no pun intended) and I’m not going to take this (again, no pun intended),” he stated, recalling that he had serious issues with Adidas due to design theft and harassment.
