Kalum Bowie Debuts With New EP
Kalum Bowie has unveiled his debut EP “Through the Window,” featuring a new single ‘Your Anthem’ through the Capitol/Polydor label.
Musical Journey and Personal Growth
This collection of five tracks by the Scottish singer-songwriter includes previously released singles “Dream of My” and “Wherever It Went,” arriving as he wraps up his successful tour of Great Britain. The latest single, “Your Anthem,” was penned when Bowie was just 15 years old.
“We are talking about growth in a small town where there isn’t much to do. The bar was where my friends and I gathered! Whenever we came together, it was all about music. It was our escape. There were times I wished to break free, but now I always feel a pull to return! It creates such a gap,” Bowie shares.
The Aberdeenshire artist was labeled a “breakthrough artist” at the Scottish Music Awards in 2024, following in the footsteps of Paolo Nutini, Lewis Capaldi, and Emeli Sandé. His recent performances include shows at Glastonbury, The Great Escape, TRNSMT, and Boardmasters festivals.
Reflecting on the EP, Bowie explains: “Essentially, I write from personal experience. This EP is deeply personal. It’s me, it’s my life. It captures all I’ve encountered. I’ve faced many ups and downs—not just in music, but in my personal life as well. These challenging moments weave the stories together.”
