Kae Tempest has revealed his fifth studio album “Self-Proclaimed,” which is set to be released on July 4 via Island Records.
Collaborations and Production
The album features 12 tracks and is produced by Grammy award-winning Fraser T Smith. The record showcases collaborations with Neil Tennant, Young Fathers, Connie Constance, and Tavia. This marks the first full collaboration between Tempest and Smith, who is renowned for his work with artists like Adele and Stormzy.
Latest Single Release
“Know Yourself”, the latest single from the album, was released today. Regarding this track, Tempest expressed: “I really like this song. It features lyrics I wrote many years ago, where my younger self converses with my older self. It’s a dialogue across time. Or to put it simply—I was once searching for guidance from my older self. I took the journey inside my head and concluded that I would figure things out on my own.”
