The rapper, poet, and playwright recently announced their fifth studio album, which will be released at the end of last month. It is scheduled to hit the shelves on July 4 through Island Records and was co-produced by Freyser T. Smith (Adele, Stormzy, Dave). The album will also feature contributions from Pet Shop Boys, Neil Tennant, Young Fathers, and Horsemen Constance.

Last March, Tempest shared the compelling single “Statue in the Square,” followed by the celebratory “Know Yourself.”

On Thursday (May 8), Tempest revealed the tour details on their Instagram. The tour kicks off on October 12 in Brussels at Bozar, with a major performance at O2 Academy Brixton in London on November 8. Following London, shows will take place in Bristol, Manchester, and Edinburgh, culminating in Dublin on November 13. Tickets will be available starting at 10 a.m. on May 16, and you can secure your tickets for Dublin here.

“We’re going on a tour!” Tempest expressed. “Join us. I will bring new songs to life, blending them with older ones to create a new show. Performing live in front of you captures a profound exchange of feelings; It’s powerful, healing, and deeply connected. And of course, these songs are part of that!”

Tempest recently shared with NME insights about the new album and their sense of responsibility, which they believe is not seen as binary in the public eye. “I don’t carry the weight of responsibility,” they stated. “It’s crucial for me to show up for my community to express myself as a trans person rather than a binary one. These aspects are important to my identity.”

“If I am festive, honest, and uncompromising in my self-expression, a sense of freedom arises from how others may feel out of place with friends, family, or in public.”

The last full-length release from Tempest was the 2022 album Line-Crown. In a four-star review, NME described The Line Is a Curve as “often dazzling,” noting that “the release showcases a celebrated voice exploring human emotions with greater depth and breadth than ever before.”
