Justin Timberlake Cancels Show Again Amid Flu Battle: “You Guys, I Broke My Heart”

Justin Timberlake Cancellations

Justin Timberlake canceled the show in Columbus, Ohio for the second time amid his battle with the flu.

Upcoming Shows and Tour Details

Following the release of “All I Thought It Was,” his sixth studio album – and the first in six years – Timberlake announced the world tour titled “Forget Tomorrow.” However, the tour has faced several delays due to illness and injury.

In October of last year, the singer postponed six North American shows after being diagnosed with bronchitis and laryngitis. This came just weeks after he canceled another show in Newark only hours before it was scheduled to begin, citing an “injury that prevents me from performing.” In December, he canceled the show in Oklahoma City after suffering a back injury.

One of the six postponed North American shows was the Columbus date, which was moved to Thursday (February 27) but has now been canceled due to his ongoing battle with the flu.

Just hours before his performance at the Nationwide Arena, Timberlake shared a statement on Instagram. He expressed, “You guys, I am devastated,” he began.

“I have to cancel the show tonight. I came to the sound check fighting the flu, and it has now taken the best of me. It breaks my heart to disappoint you, especially since my team has worked so hard for this show to go on. I assure you that you will receive a refund for your tickets. I love you all.”

The Columbus date was meant to be part of his tour across the United States. His next shows are scheduled in South America, followed by a single performance at the Bottlerock Napa Valley in California in 2025, and later, a tour across the UK and Europe. See the complete list of dates below.

In September last year, the singer faced a guilty verdict for driving under the influence and urged fans to reconsider if they think about driving after drinking. The judge imposed a fine of $500 (approximately £380) along with a surcharge of $260 (about £198) and 25 hours of community service with a non-profit organization of his choice.

Timberlake stated, “Even if you’ve only had one drink, do not get behind the wheel. There are countless alternatives. You can call a friend, or take an Uber. This is a mistake I made, but I hope that those watching and listening now can learn from it.”

The former NSYNC star released his sixth solo album “Everything I Thought It Was” in March, which received a three-star review from Nick Levin at NME, stating that while “All I Thought It Was” shows he hasn’t lost his vocal chops or groove, it fails to overshadow the shadows of past missteps. Currently, the troublesome phase of Timberlake’s career continues to linger.
