Vulnerability in Public Eye

Vulnerable comments were made in the Instagram message this weekend (March 22), along with a seemingly carefree video featuring himself and friends, as they enjoy a psychedelic jam session on various instruments around the pool in his Beverly Hills home.

“I think that sometimes I hate myself when I feel that I begin to become inaccurate,” he wrote as a caption to the post. “Then I remember that everyone makes us think that we are not enough, but I still hate it when I change myself to please people.”

Struggles with Self-Identity

Bieber’s comments also seem to reflect concerns related to another post he made earlier this month, where he addressed his feelings of “fraud” on social media. “People have told me my whole life: ‘Wow, Justin, you deserve this,’ but I’ve always felt undeserving. Like I’m a fraud,” he shared.

“When people tell me I deserve something,” he continued, “it makes me feel deceiving: ‘Damn, if they only knew my thoughts and how judgmental I am of myself, they wouldn’t say that.’ I share this to say: if you feel off, welcome to the club. I often feel unprepared and inadequate.”

At the end of last month, the Canadian singer was spotted looking high, raising public concerns. This incident occurred shortly after a representative dismissed online rumors about the singer’s drug use, labeling the comments as “false” and “harmful”.

In a separate statement from Katya Stone, the spokesperson stated that the public discourse about the artist’s health is “exhausting and regrettable, and demonstrates that, despite the evident truth, individuals choose to perpetuate negative, harmful narratives.”

They also dismissed speculation, stating that 2024 is “a transformative year for him as he ends several close personal and professional relationships that no longer serve him.”

In addition to health-related comments, there have been reports that Bieber has returned to the studio and is planning a significant comeback. These rumors were fueled when he was spotted in the studio at the beginning of the New Year, and again when Mk.gee revealed he was collaborating with the singer on new material.

If this studio output culminates in a complete album, it would mark his first studio release since 2021’s “Justice”.
