The pop star’s last studio album was 2021’s sixth release, Justice, which included hit singles like “Peaches,” “Holy,” and “Anyone.”

Recent changes in Bieber’s career

Since then, he has undergone a high-profile split from his longtime manager Scooter Braun. They had collaborated since 2008 after Braun discovered Bieber via his YouTube channel; however, in 2023, it was disclosed that the singer was “looking to exit his contract with Braun.”

In June 2024, Braun announced his retirement from music management after parting ways with several big names, including Ariana Grande, Demi Lovato, and David Guetta.

Now, reports indicate that Bieber is gearing up for his return. News about the puck’s Matthew Belloni suggests he is working on new music and plans to tour, possibly driven by financial considerations.

“I was told that Bieber needs money and he wants to work,” Belloni stated. He mentioned the costs associated with canceling the Justice World Tour in 2022 and 2023 due to health issues as a contributing factor.

Health challenges and future projects

The tour was called off after Bieber revealed in June 2022 that he had been diagnosed with Ramsay Hunt syndrome, resulting in temporary paralysis on the right side of his face.

The only previous sign of Bieber being back in the studio came last September when Mk.gee disclosed that he had been collaborating with the singer on fresh material, as Bieber was “searching” for his next move.

“Everything that comes out of his mouth: it’s pop music,” Mk.gee noted. “You can really do some pretty wild things behind it, just because it represents something.”

In a four-star review of “Justice” for NME, Will Lavigne commented: “Armed with newfound optimism born from a dark place, he realizes that he gets better as he taps into his own experiences, projects relevant human emotions, and figures out why he’s here.” He addresses personal topics that matter to him: his wife, mental health, social injustice, and beyond.”

“With fireworks, ballads, and heartfelt moments, the hopeless romantic with a penchant for introspection and solving the world’s problems returns. Beliebers rejoice!”

Bieber and his wife, Hailey, also welcomed their first child, a son named Jack Blues, in August.
