John Gleisher Unveils Debut Album “Like a Ribbon,” Featuring Collaborations with Sampha and Flume

John Glisher’s Debut Album

John Glisher has launched her debut album “Like a Abbon” via Young, featuring collaborations with Sampha, Flume, and Earth.

Album Highlights and Themes

The London rapper, poet, and emerging producer presents 11 tracks divided into three chapters: “like tape,” “Duppy gun,” and “Angel Pipe.” This album delves into themes of contemporary life and relationships, drawing from Glisher’s personal experiences in Khakni and her journey toward recognition.

Produced by the talented Kwes Darko, the album melds elements of rap, electronic beats, post-punk, and other ambient sounds. It also includes contributions from Andrew Aged and the gang Surfing, creating what Glisher describes as a “book” that intertwines imaginative storytelling with reality.
