New Single Announcement
Jeffrey Lewis has announced a new single 'Just Fun'. This track is from his upcoming album “Even More Freewheelin’ Jeffrey Lewis,” set for release on March 21 via Blang Records.
Album Details
The album was recorded over four days in Nashville, produced by Roger Mutenot, who is known for his work with Yo La Tengo as well as the previous Jeffrey Lewis album “Bad Whoring.” The record features Jeffrey Lewis accompanied by Brent Cole on drums, Mem Pahl on bass, and Mallori Feier on violin and keyboard.
“Just Fun,” an acoustic Lo-Fi track, delves into themes of parenthood, romance, and creativity. The single is released with a static video shot by Jake Kerley, featuring Camo from Joanna Sternberg.
“Joanna lives in the same building as my cousin Eddie (and her boyfriend Kate), who plays parents in the first verse. I thought we could multiply during the shooting and get acquainted with Joanna for a quick scene,” Lewis explains. “Additionally, the snowy daytime street scene where I’m featured is the ‘Freewheelin’ Corner of Jones & W 4th ST, reminiscent of the iconic 1963 Dylan album and my own work.”
