According to the official website ABOUT, Osbourne Media House is characterized as “your multimedia hub for all things Osbourne” and serves as a portal for a diverse array of content, including original series, both classic and contemporary, podcasts, merchandise, family news, subscription boxes, exclusive content, early access, engagement with creators, fan engagement, and a thriving community.

Launched in April 2024, Osbourne Media House featured shows such as The Osbournes Podcast and the series Chronicles of a Madhouse by Ozzy Osbourne and guitarist Billy Morrison.

Challenges Faced by the Media Hub

In a newly published video on his official YouTube channel, Jack, son of Ozzy and Sharon Osbourne, elaborated on the issues that led to the decision to “pause” the media hub.

“The reason for the closure of Osbourne Media is not a simple answer; This is a very long-winded answer, but I will try to make it as short, concise, and easy to understand as possible,” he stated.

Jack emphasized that the closure was not attributed to the audience, calling the whole experience “amazing,” as it allowed them to create and share content exactly as intended.

However, he acknowledged, “The most important thing is that we learned how to do it.”

Jack explained that he began Osbourne Media House with an idea rooted in the changing landscape of media, observing how traditional television was declining. With a background in television both in front of the camera and as a producer, he recognized the evolving need for creative content.

Reflections on the Future

“There’s simply no more money. And the post-COVID shift has really affected not only me but the entire industry. The content just changes. And that is why I wanted to adapt,” he shared. He envisioned starting a media company to create and distribute their content, hence the inception of Osbourne Media House, which he described as a self-financed endeavor.

Jack confessed that the entire family had “invested” heavily in the venture but acknowledged they had “bitten off more than we could chew.” They aimed to learn from their experiences and sought external guidance for growth and direction, which ultimately led to a standstill.

Sharon and Ozzy expressed their concerns, stating, “Hey, look, we don’t want to keep putting money into this because we don’t think it makes sense for us right now,” a decision influenced by their busy schedules, Ozzy’s health, and the realities of life.

Jack concluded, “So it came down to planning, finances, and I think those two factors really weighed on everyone. The decision was made that if we didn’t figure this out by August, we would need to hit the pause button at Osbourne Media House, and that’s exactly what transpired.”

In other news, Ozzy recently expressed his distaste for the Christmas period, recounting how he drank “28 gallons” of alcohol to cope with it. Additionally, Ozzy’s Black Sabbath bandmate, Geezer Butler, revealed plans for the Prince of Darkness to reunite the band for a final show, following recent speculation about a one-off reunion, especially after Osbourne expressed his eagerness to join the last show with co-founding drummer Bill Ward.
