Details on the Special Guests and Lineup
In November, the punk group announced plans for an event at Quin Square on August 1 and 2, marking the first mass music concerts at the site in over two decades. Tickets can be found here.
Now, the full lineup has been unveiled for both nights. On Friday, expect performances from Soft Play Kent Punk Duo, Brighton Noiseniks Lambrini Girls, and Dubstep DJ and Sicaria producer.
Saturday’s lineup includes “Duydz,” led by The Strokes’ Julian Casablancas, alongside the Spanish group Hinds, Bristol’s own Grove, and Yeke Tash LC club founder.
IDLE has also promised that a variety of local DJs will be performing, with food and drinks sourced from local vendors.

Daniel Ialam and Scott O’Neill from the promoters Commandion One expressed their excitement, stating, “We cannot wait to bring this event to Queen Square. This location in the center of the city already fosters unforgettable community experiences, and partnering with Idles, a band that embodies the spirit of Bristol, makes it even more significant for us.”
“We love Bristol and everything it represents, so it is important for us to oversee a new event with fans at the forefront. And let’s face it, you simply can’t beat Bristol in the summer.”
Idles released their fifth studio album, “Tangk,” in February, which received a four-star review from NME, describing it as “An adventure in the pastures of the new.”

The Bristol Block Party will be the only UK performance for Idles in 2025, but it still promises to be an action-packed year for the band, with scheduled performances at Shaky Knees in Atlanta, Rock for People in the Czech Republic, and Primavera Sound in Barcelona.
Additionally, they will open for My Chemical Romance at a show in Boston this September.
