As It Is Collaborates
As It Is shared 'Cheap Pictures and Failures X', a new iteration of their track featuring guest performances from Mikey Capen of Mallory Knox and Alex Costello and Alex Adam from Roam.
Upcoming Album Details
This release precedes “Never Happiness, Ever After the X,” a comprehensive reimagining of their debut album with guest performances on every track, which is set to launch on May 18.
“Cheap Pictures and Failures is likely one of our few upbeat, anemic songs. We always believed it would be our biggest single, but Alas Dial Tones proved us incorrect,” the band shares. “In 2014, during a backstage session at a club in Bristol, Alex Adam and Alex Churchois from Roam recorded a guest vocal for the bridge. It didn’t make it onto the record for some reason, but a decade later, there was only one band we wanted to invite for that part of the bridge. They performed it live with us, filling us with nostalgia, as all our initial impressions of the group came from Roam.”
“In 2015, we also spent the summer with Mallory Knox during the Warped Tour – Mallory has always been a British rock legend for us and has undergone a similar journey. Having T-shirts sing on this track transforms this version into a lively 2015 party. The energy in the studio was electric, and we are thrilled for people to hear this song, as it has always meant to us.”
The forthcoming album will feature collaborations with various artists, including Kellin Quinn from Sleeping with Sirens, Mikail Delgado, Lucas Woodland from Holding Absence, and Dave Baksha from Braunsound.
