Hot Milk Announces New Album
Hot Milk teases their upcoming second album ‘Corporation Pop’, set to release on June 27 through Music for Nations, accompanied by a fresh single titled “Swallow It.”
Exploring Themes of Control
The latest track from the Manchester group aims to address global leadership and media control. Lead singer Khan Mi explains, “We live in an era after the truth; we are confused and lost, lacking trust. It’s essential to follow our intuition toward what is moral, correct, and kind. This protest song stands against the oppressive forces impacting youth. It challenges and agitates the control mechanisms in our society, advocating for the safety of everyone, irrespective of race, religion, gender, or sexuality.”
‘Corporation Pop’ was produced by Jim Show from the band, alongside Zak Jones and KJ Strock, with live recordings capturing the intensity of their performances. The album tackles global issues from a distinctly British perspective, with roots firmly established in Manchester and Salford.
“Manchester is the best city in the world,” Mi shares. “We formed this group in Manchester; it’s integral to my identity. It should bleed into the art we create, as it has shaped us.”
