Details of Sean Blosl’s Passing

The news was announced on New Year’s Eve (December 31) by the band’s guitarist Lenny Rutledge, who is also Blosle’s cousin. Rutledge shared on Instagram that Blosle died “earlier this year” following “involvement in a traffic accident in Seattle.” According to an obituary from Chronicle, Blosle’s death date was August 26.

Rutledge expressed his feelings about his cousin on social media: “Sean was my cousin, but to us, we were more like brothers. As children, we shared a musical dream that became a reality. I don’t think I would have had the opportunity to embark on this musical journey without Sean. It’s hard to encapsulate a lifetime of love, memories, and experiences, but I will always remember Sean as an inspiration and a teacher. Rest in peace, brother. I’ll see you on the other side.”
