Jools Holland’s Celebrity Appearance

The latest New Year's Eve show in Holland featured Rod Stewart, Joss Stone, Olivia Dean, Paul Jones, PP Arnold, RAYE, Sugababes, and The Mary Wallopers.

Meanwhile, viewers dubbed Holland the “worst contestant” following his appearance on the show Who Wants to Be a Millionaire? last night (December 29) during this year’s celebrity special.

Fans had high expectations for Holland, but he encountered difficulties in reaching the £1,000 mark, utilizing the “ask the audience” and “call a friend” options for the fourth and fifth questions.

“Wow. This is a good job; Jules can play the piano well because he's so damn useless at it…” one viewer commented.

When prompted with a question about Alfred Hitchcock's classic Psycho, Holland called a friend who guided him to the correct answer.

This led one viewer to remark: “I love Jools Holland, but if you have to call a friend to answer a question about what Psycho is about, then ‘Who Wants to Be a Millionaire?’ is not for you.”

In another instance, a musician struggled to identify which member of the Spice Girls shares a maiden name with two former U.S. presidents. This surprised many viewers, considering he had previously appeared in the 1997 Spice Girls film Spice World as the musical director.
