Head Automatica Makes a Comeback with Sultry New Single “Annulment” – Their Second Release in 18 Years

Head Automatica Returns

Head Automatica is back with the new single “Annulment,” marking only their second release in 18 years.

The Evolution of Their Sound

This track follows the earlier releases of the DECADANS group since 2004 and Popaganda since 2006, along with the work of former producer Dan the Automator.

“Song” embodies the essence of Head Automatica but has evolved slightly in terms of mood and production,” notes singer Daryl Palumbo. “We aimed to keep the vibrant production with intricate electronic sounds and samples, allowing for greater emphasis on the overall feeling and dynamics of the song. Ensuring that the track maintains its energy while achieving a delicate balance is key in ‘Annulment.’

The Current Lineup

The current lineup of the group includes Palumbo on vocals, Richard Fetu on bass, Bochi Craig on guitar, Chard Hasty on drums, and Eric Mitchell serving as the engineer.

Their 2004 hit “Beating Heart Baby” was covered by Waterparks, and Paramore’s Haley Williams named it one of her favorite songs.
