Potential Show Series

News about the potential series of shows from the pop star and former One Direction member was shared by New York Post, which reported that he is negotiating to hold up to 35 shows at the venue starting at the end of this year.

The outlet also cited an anonymous source close to the discussions who stated: “In order for the sphere to stay relevant, they need to book some real ‘living’ artists like Styles. Most of the acts in the venue have catered to a crowd of 60 with cross-genre performances and even U2.”

While nothing has been officially confirmed as of now, sources suggest that the residency is increasingly likely since Styles is managed by Jeffrey Azoff, the son of Irving Azoff, who has previously worked with U2, The Eagles, and Dead & Company—each of which held residences at the venue.

The Styles management team, Full STOP, declined to comment on the speculation, and a representative from the sphere stated (through Mail): “We are not commenting on any artists performing at the venue, other than those who have been announced.”

Possible Competition in Las Vegas

If the Harry Styles residency happens, it would mark some of his first shows since his massive “Love on Tour,” which ran from 2022 to 2023. This tour was reported to be one of the most successful in recent history, grossing over $600 million (£464.4 million).

It’s worth mentioning that several artists have previously been rumored to plan residencies in Las Vegas, but many never materialized. This includes Beyoncé, who was reported in negotiations in November 2023 to perform after the initial U2 residency.

During this period, sources noted to New York that venue owners also considered Paul McCartney, Lady Gaga, and Bon Jovi as potential future performers. However, none came to fruition, although Gaga did make a surprise appearance at a concert in Vegas.

In addition to U2, The Eagles, and Dead & Company, other artists who have locked in residencies at the Las Vegas venue include Backstreet Boys, who recently announced a series of dates scheduled for July. Other artists like Fisha and Antim are also part of the lineup, with the latter becoming the first non-rock performer to headline. Country star Kenny Chesney is set to begin his residency from May to June this year, performing 18 shows at the venue.
