Latest Rock Hall Announcements
The Rock Hall today (April 28) took to social media following the latest episode of American Idol, where this year’s honorees were first unveiled to a broader audience. Among those to be recognized at this year’s ceremony are The White Stripes, Cyndi Lauper, OutKast, and Soundgarden.
Also included are Bad Company, Thom Bell, Chubby Checker, Joe Cocker, Nicky Hopkins, Carol Kaye, Salt-N-Pepa, Lenny Waronker, and Warren Zevon.
On November 8, the induction ceremony for Rock -N -Roll 2025 will take place and will be streamed live on Disney+.

Among the many artists nominated, a few fell short for induction this year, including Oasis, Mariah Carey, Fish, Billy Idol, Black Crows, and Joy Division/New Order. This marks the second time Oasis and Joy Division/New Order have been overlooked for induction.
Fish also missed out on a nomination despite winning the annual fan voting.
While it may be the second snub for Oasis, frontman Liam Gallagher expressed indifference after the first nomination in 2024, stating, “Damn, the Rock -N -Roll Hall of Glory has completely wasted my time,” adding that he wouldn’t spend money to attend.
Last year, the Hall honored Cher, Ozzy Osbourne, Kool & The Gang, Peter Frampton, Foreigner, Dave Matthews, Mary J. Blige, and A Tribe Called Quest.
In November, Mariah Carey, who was also on the 2024 long list, reflected on her omission from the selected honorees. Speaking with Los Angeles Times, she remarked, “I had not considered it. Everyone kept saying, ‘I think you are going to get in!’ and I was excited by it.
Her lawyer, Allen Grubman, who co-founded the Hall of Glory of Rock-N-Rolla, was inducted in 2022. Grubman has represented several high-profile entertainers, including Bruce Springsteen, U2, Sting, Madonna, Elton John, and Lady Gaga.
