Haim has unveiled new insights about their forthcoming album, highlighting unresolved elements of George Michael alongside inspirations drawn from Beyoncé.

Recent Singles and Inspirations

The band released their latest single “Relations” on March 12 and has offered a deeper understanding of their upcoming album in a recent interview with ID.

The opening track, “Gone,” features a sample of the Gospel-infused “Freedom” by George Michael, although the team has not yet cleared it with the estate of the late artist. “Everything will be revealed,” Alan commented regarding the sample’s usage.

Daniel discussed the track’s inspiration: “I listened to Beyoncé’s album, and the variety of samples really motivated me. It doesn’t feel aggressive—it’s more about saying, ‘I’m going to deliver my best work.’”

The album also features “Take Me Back,” described as a heartfelt reflection on past loves. Alan mentioned that this recording is “the closest we’ve come to our desired sound,” while Daniel praised their collaborative efforts with the producer, noting, “Working together is fast and dynamic, which I truly appreciate as an artist. In the past, it was more labor-intensive and took longer to find the right approach.”
