Exciting Lineup and Special Guests

They will join the already announced opening acts and special guests including Metallica, Slayer, Pantera, Lamb of God, Mastodon, Alice in Chains, Halestorm, and recent Grammy winners, among many others. Guns 'N' Roses Slash and Duff McKagan were also part of the original lineup, and now they will perform as the full band.

In addition to performing live, Tom Morello from Rage Against the Machine will serve as the music director for the show, featuring Jason Momoa.

Final Performance Details

The iconic heavy metal group will return for one last concert at Villa Park in their hometown of Birmingham on Saturday, July 5. The upcoming show will feature the most legendary lineup of the band, which includes frontman Ozzy Osbourne, guitarist Tony Iommi, bassist Geezer Butler, and drummer Bill Ward—playing together live for the first time in two decades.

Black Sabbath Final Concert

All profits from this final performance on Saturday will be donated to charity, including Parkinson’s treatment, Birmingham Children’s Hospital, and Acorn Children’s Hospice, which is supported by Aston Villa.

Recently, Sharon Osbourne revealed to NME that her husband Ozzy is currently “doing really great” and feels “very emotional” about the final Sabbath date. “This is what he wants,” she noted. “He wants to thank everyone. He did not have such a chance because of his illness, but now he has a chance.”

Sharon described this event as a “return to the beginning” and emphasized that it would be “a celebration of the old music that still resonates,” rather than Black Sabbath creating any new material beforehand.

“You get to a point in your career where everything you do doesn’t quite measure up to what you’ve done before,” she explained. “To be able to rest on your laurels and say: “People still love this, and this still sells, and we can’t achieve more success than what we’ve done,” that is enough.”

Sharon also referred to the date as a “celebration of the genre and the pioneers who started it and handed it over to all these groups.” She said, “Usually, this is done when you are dead—so it’s nice that these guys can be alive to appreciate it!”

Discussing the impressive lineup, Ozzy’s wife and manager commented, “Can you imagine a picture at the end with all these icons together? One mass of legends gathered here will create an incredible final photograph that will go down in history.”

While Ozzy Osbourne’s participation with Black Sabbath has been confirmed, there were concerns about the extent of his involvement due to health issues. However, the legendary frontman has suggested that fans can expect him to be on stage during the final concert.

In a recent episode of his show Ozzy Speaks on SiriusXM, he mentioned: “I don’t plan on doing a full set with Black Sabbath, but I will do a few bits with them. I do what I can, where I feel comfortable.”

Osbourne, who last performed a full set in 2018, stated: “I’m trying to get back on my feet. When you wake up in the morning, you just jump out of bed. I have to balance myself, but I haven’t died. I’m still actively doing something.”

These updates follow Ozzy revealing that he “cannot walk” due to Parkinson’s disease. Nevertheless, his wife Sharon assured fans that the illness has “not affected his voice.” “Parkinson’s is a progressive disease. It’s not something you can stabilize. It affects different parts of the body, particularly his legs. But his voice is as good as ever,” she clarified.

Concert tickets went on sale last Friday (February 14), leading to disappointment for many fans trying to purchase them. Some criticized the high ticket prices despite the proceeds benefiting Parkinson’s treatment, Birmingham Children’s Hospital, and Acorn Children’s Hospice, while others were pleased to have secured their tickets for the show.

Meanwhile, members of Sabbath, including Iommi and Butler, have shared statements about the upcoming reunion on social media. Bob Daisley, a classic era Ozzy bassist, also revealed that he was not invited to perform at the last show.
