Grimes has come to the defense of Elon Musk, countering accusations that the tech billionaire is claiming credit for achievements that are not his own in the realm of gaming.

Concerns About Gaming Abilities

Although Elon Musk has been a long-time fan of gaming, recent years have seen scrutiny over his gaming prowess. In 2022, his performance in Elden Ring drew widespread criticism for being poor, and earlier this year, he faced challenges with fundamental RPG mechanics in Path of Exile 2 during a Twitch stream, despite asserting his expertise with one of the highest-rated characters in the game.

Several gamers, including YouTuber Asmongold, have alleged that Musk may have purchased his account or had someone else play the game on his behalf, with Asmongold also claiming that Musk cheated in Diablo 4.

Last year, Musk proclaimed himself the top player in Diablo 4 after clearing the level 150 pit in under two minutes. In response to the skepticism, Grimes took to social media over the weekend to vouch for his skills.

“Out of personal pride, I want to state that the father of my children was the first American Druid in Diablo to clear out the Zira slaughterhouse and finish this season as the best in the United States,” she wrote. Wrote.

“He also ranked high in Polytopia and defeated (the creator) Felix himself in the game. I have seen these things with my own eyes, and there are other witnesses who can confirm this. That’s all.”

Musk expressed his gratitude to Grimes for her supportive post, but reactions from other players have been mixed. One user remarked, “I respect Elon’s past gaming achievements, but there is reasonable suspicion that he had help with his game in Path of Exile 2. There’s no shame in it because it’s incredibly challenging and he’s quite busy, but he needs to be honest.” Grimes agreed with this sentiment in her response.

Another fan asked, “Have you been hacked?” to which Grimes replied, “No. I just don’t want to deal with it, but here we are. Now I’m going back to my kingdom.”

In previous discussions, Grimes expressed her concerns regarding custody arrangements with Musk over their children. In 2023, the musician initiated legal action regarding the custody of their third child, stating, “Tell Elon to let me see my son or please respond to my lawyer,” in a now-deleted tweet.

Musk recently shared that gaming provides him with “fun” and that he balances his time between fatherhood and managing companies like Tesla and SpaceX. “Some days are really hard, so video games are my weird comfort,” he mentioned.
