The singer-songwriter made headlines earlier this week when he shared a statement with fans confirming he was set to perform at Glastonbury later this year but withdrew due to creative differences.
I write on my website Neil Young Archive on Tuesday (December 31), he said: “Chrome Hearts and I were looking forward to playing Glastonbury, one of my all-time favorite outdoor concerts. We were told that the BBC was now a partner in Glastonbury and wanted us to do a lot of things that we weren’t interested in.”
“Glastonbury seems to be under corporate control now, and that’s not what I remember,” he continued. “Thank you for visiting us for the last time! We won’t be playing Glastonbury on this tour because it’s a corporate shutdown and not for me like before. I hope to see you at one of the other tour locations.”
