Grains Releases New Demonstrations
Grains shared two previously unrelated demonstrations – listen to “I'm not fucking, I am crazy” and “fool” below.
Canadian artist (real name Claire Bucher) published a couple of new tracks on her official SoundCloud profile over the weekend.
“You think that I am too crazy/ and what, so what, and what, and what, so what?“She sings behind a punk riff on “I don’t fuck, I'm crazy,” which dates back to February 2019.
Insights from Grains
Having posted on X/Twitter today (February 25), Grains explained: “Only for good vibrations we posted several ancient demonstrations on SoundCloud 2day – demo -day -2019, which I made.
“Obviously, time was not spent on this, but my old manager always made me finish and make it a banner, but I forgot, I suppose. Def has a lot of potential, although I will probably make the best line and make it one day.”
On her Instagram Stories, she stated: “Sorry, my album takes so much time – since repentance here is a 2009 demonstration, which probably had to be finished. I always promise you a demo – they just began little ideas, but, nevertheless.”

As for “fool,” Grains explained that she crafted a song over the instrumental for the classic track Mazzy Star “Fade Into You,” “But the files are forever lost on my laptop on which the child poured fluid.”
“It was just a wonderful jam on the poem that I wrote, I would not want to dissuade him,” she added. “It is obvious that this is too compressed and night, but continuously – that's all that remains.”
Earlier, Grains shared lyrics from an intimate ballad ahead of the 2024 U.S. presidential election. The track includes lines: “Oh, you are a fool/ because you tried to give me the moon/ and all that I can return is poetry,” which is a clear reference to her previous partner Elon Musk.

Well, I always liked this one, I just wrote the Diff Over Mazzy Star song, but the files are forever lost on my laptop on which the child poured liquid. It was just a wonderful jam on the poem that I wrote, I would not want to dissuade him.

Grains, whose last album “Miss AnthropoCene” arrived in 2020, has been teasing her upcoming two-part record titled “Book 1” and “Book 2.” She also shared plans to release an EP titled Fairies Cum First and released a single for a project called “Shinigami Eyes” in 2022.
At the beginning of last year, Grains posted a teaser clip of her working in a recording studio. “Sorry, I left for so long,” she said at that time. “Glad to return to work!” In 2023, the singer and producer mentioned that she was “first creating music for centuries, and I forgot that it was very fun.”
Previously, she provided updates on the status of “Book 1,” stating that music was no longer her main priority in life, referring to it as a “side quest.”
In other news, Grains has called out her former partner Elon Musk on social media for allegedly “ignoring” the “medical crisis” of his child. Last week, she criticized Musk for showcasing their son X around the Oval Office while Trump signed an executive order in front of cameras.
Grains clarified her stance on Musk’s controversial gestures during the presidential inauguration of Trump last month.
