GOT7 Confirms Comeback

K-pop boy band GOT7 have officially confirmed their highly anticipated return in January 2025 with their mini album 'Winter Heptagon'.

Details of ‘Winter Heptagon’

On December 20, the seven-member group announced the upcoming release of their mini-album titled “Winter Heptagon” next year. The album is set to launch on January 20 at 6:00 pm KST in honor of GOT7's 11th debut anniversary.

“GOT7 aims to fully exhibit their talents while highlighting their close bond and significance as a group,” Kakao Entertainment stated in a press release.

“The members, who are actively engaging in solo careers as artists, actors, and entertainers both locally and globally, will deliver exceptional music, performances, and chemistry this time, striving to capture the hearts of fans worldwide,” the statement added.

Recent Activities and History

GOT7 leader JB first revealed the upcoming comeback at his 'Tape: Reload' concert earlier this month, with several group members in attendance. This marks the group’s first release since their mini album of the same name launched in May 2022, following their departure from long-time agency JYP Entertainment.

GOT7, consisting of members JB, Jinyoung, Jackson Wang, Mark Tuan, BamBam, Youngjae, and Yugyeom, debuted in January 2014 with their first mini album, “Got It?” The group produced hits such as “Just Right” and “If You Do.” They left JYP Entertainment in 2021 after their contracts expired.

In other K-pop news, label HYBE ADOR recently issued a statement encouraging the members of girl group NewJeans to continue using their official social media accounts with the agency due to potential legal issues with advertisers. The five-member group had launched an independent Instagram account earlier this week amidst a contract dispute with their agency.
