Deal with Warner Chappell Music
Warner Chappell Music has finalized a global administrative agreement with DJ and producer Diplo, a renowned figure in the industry who has won Grammy awards.
The deal, announced on Wednesday (April 23), incorporates a significant portion of Diplo’s catalog under Warner Chappell administration.
A Visionary Creative
During his two-decade career, Diplo has garnered 13 Grammy nominations and three Grammy awards. His extensive catalog features hits such as Justin Bieber‘s Where Are Ü Now, Large Lazer‘s Lean On, DJ Snake and Moos‘s Heartless with Morgan Wallen, and Beyoncé‘s Run the World (Girls).
“Diplo is a visionary creative, whose multifaceted success includes extending borders with his own projects, creating hits for others, and fostering collaboration,” stated Gabz Landman, Senior Vice President of A&R at WCM.
“It takes a rare talent to build and sustain a successful career over several decades, which he has done with remarkable ease, making it an honor for us to further strengthen his legacy.”

For Diplo, born Thomas Wesley Pentz, this deal signifies a reunion with Carianna Marshall, the COO of Warner Chappell, who played a crucial role in his early career development.
“I am thrilled to come full circle with Carianna Marshall, who was instrumental in my early success,” the DJ and producer remarked.
He added: “The Warner Chappell team is uniquely positioned to support my various endeavors, whether it’s producing for other artists, releasing my own music, or collaborating in recordings.”
“They have an exceptionally qualified, long-range staff who I believe can enhance my approach to creating and placing music.”
Diplo continues to pursue multiple active musical projects, including performances with the Electronic Music Group Major Lazer. He formed the supergroup LSD with SIA and Labyrinth, as well as collaborations with Skrillex as Jack Ü and Mark Ronson as Silk City. Their collaborative single Electricity with Dua Lipa earned a platinum certification and a Grammy award.
Diplo’s recent releases include several singles under his Higher Ground label and his second album, Diplo Presents Thomas Wesley: Chapter 2 – Swamp Savant. This follows the remix compilation from 2022, Diplo, marking his first full-length electronic album in 18 years.
“The Warner Chappell team is uniquely positioned to support my many endeavors and projects, whether it’s producing for other artists, releasing my own music, or collaborating in recordings.”

In addition to his recorded music, Diplo has expanded into other entertainment ventures. He runs recording labels Mad Decent and Higher Ground, and recently launched Diplo’s Run the Club, a 5K run series that features concerts and quickly gained popularity after its debut in 2024.
Diplo has also made investments, including in the consumer-focused venture capital firm Torch Capital and the social music platform Stationhead.
The Warner Chappell partnership comes as Diplo prepares to take the stage at the Honkytonk in a third consecutive year at the Styzhans Festival. This Goldenvoice-produced event will feature performances from artists including Paris Hilton, WCM, Chromeo, Sophie Thacker, and other dance music acts.
“Diplo has established himself as one of the most innovative artists and pioneers in music today.”

“His bold approach to art, culture, and songs resonates with our vision at Warner Chappell.
“There is much to look forward to, and we are excited to collaborate with him and his management team, Andrew Makinnes and Rene Brodo.
Diplo’s administrative deal underscores the latest major agreement for Warner Chappell Music, following the recent signing of Blackpink’s Rosé in November 2024, and reggaeton artist Yandel and Empire Sun‘s Luke Style in February.
