The renowned guitar brand has collaborated with the company to introduce the new Capsule Collection, Merc X Gibson, available exclusively at the Gibson London garage for a limited time.
Designed to showcase a robust connection between music and fashion, this range features five items: the “Harrington Legend,” a “Polo shirt,” a hooded sweatshirt, “Riff-football,” and “Tone.”
“MERC is thrilled to work with Gibson, and we take pride in representing this capsule collection that embodies the spirit and honors the rich heritage of both brands,” stated SAS ALAVI, managing director of MERC in a recent announcement. “The collection was meticulously crafted to blend the aesthetics of MERC and GIBSON, appealing to modern sensibilities and creating pieces that resonate with style enthusiasts and guitar aficionados alike.”
Artist Collaboration
The collection was also highlighted by the rising punk band Kid Kapichi, selected for their embodiment of the punk rock lifestyle in 2025, showcasing the capsule collection effectively.
Kid Kapichi, along with fellow musicians, gathered at the Gibson Garage this week for a special event to launch the new assortment, with live performances taking place in-store.
“It’s fantastic to collaborate closely with two iconic brands. Over time, we became more immersed in the world of Gibson guitars, as their sound is unparalleled for the music we create,” shared Kid Kapichi. “Thus, working with them on various projects is a tremendous honor.”
“Saying yes to this new collaboration was an easy decision. MERC has always been associated with a love for beautiful items from the 60s, deeply connected with music and the bands we have admired throughout our lives. These bands have influenced us, and fashion goes hand in hand with that.”

About Gibson Garage
The Gibson Garage in London first opened in February last year, featuring notable guests like Jimmy Page, Brian May, and Tony Iommi.
Inspired by their flagship location in Nashville, it houses over 300 guitars for sale, a vibrant music area below, and the opportunity to custom order a guitar.
NME had the chance to see the store’s initial preview, where Led Zeppelin’s Jimmy Page was present to announce the collaboration with the brand, unveiling a tribute to his iconic 1971 Dubleneck model.
Recently, Queen’s Brian May returned to the venue this month to partner with the company in launching a brand new 12-string acoustic guitar.
“The idea for this guitar came about when I needed a 12-string for touring, and my previous one didn’t quite work on stage,” he elaborated. “When you look at this guitar, its beauty and resonance, along with the craftsmanship involved, it’s clear that Gibson has poured their universe into it. The planet Mercury is present, serving as a tribute to my dear friend who is always with me.”
