GFRIEND Releases New Single
GFRIEND have unveiled a new single titled “Season of Memories,” in anticipation of their reunion album of the same name.
Details About The Reunion Album
Today (January 6), GFRIEND and Source Music shared a sample from the group’s much-anticipated reunion album. While the song “Season of Memories” does not include a full music video, the label released a mood film featuring an excerpt from the track.
The one-minute video opens with what looks like a diary, embellished with photos showcasing GFRIEND’s moments together over the years. It includes a heartfelt camcorder footage of all six members enjoying their time as a group.
“I couldn’t believe it would all go away / We walked around and met again in time / I was waiting for you at any moment / I’ll choose you to the end,” Yuju and Eunha perform in the chorus.
GFRIEND’s special album, “Season of Memories,” is scheduled for release in its entirety on January 13 at 6:00 PM KST, just days before the group’s 10th anniversary on January 16. The upcoming album marks the six-member group’s first recording together in four years, following their disbandment in May 2021.
After the album release, GFRIEND will kick off a self-titled tour across Asia to support the album. They plan to start with a three-day residency at Seoul Olympic Hall from January 17 to 19, before traveling to Osaka, Yokohama, Hong Kong, and Taipei in March.
Source Music first announced GFRIEND’s reunion in September, emphasizing that “the project was carried out keeping in mind the members’ desire to create treasured memories for GFRIEND fans.”
GFRIEND made their debut under Source Music in 2015, delivering hit tracks such as “Rough,” “Navillera,” “Sunrise,” and others. Their most recent release was the studio album “Walpurgis Night,” which came out in November 2020 and included the single “Mago.”
