New Album and Reunion Tour
This week, GFRIEND reunited to unveil a special album titled “Season of Memories” in celebration of their 10th anniversary. This release marks the girl group's first album in four years following their departure from longtime agency Source Music and subsequent hiatus.
In a recent interview with the magazine Korea Times, GFRIEND discussed how they came together for this anniversary project and reflected on how their dynamics have evolved over the past four years.
“Whenever we met, we naturally talked about our 10th anniversary and were sure that we would get together again someday,” they shared. “We especially wanted to do this for our 10th anniversary.”
“This was possible because all six members had strong determination and trusted each other. We are proud of the members who made the 10th anniversary concert and project a reality when previously it was just a vague idea,” GFRIEND added in the interview.
The members also highlighted how their individual projects over the past few years have contributed to their growth as performers.
“The voices of all the participants seem to have become deeper and stronger. Now everyone has found their color,” Yerin remarked, noting that performing as a group of six “still feels as enjoyable” as it did before. “It was impressive to see them try to blend well as a team rather than show their individuality,” she continued.
Dancer and vocalist SinB also mentioned her evolved work ethic, saying, “I’m more assertive than before.” She emphasized that she continues to watch and study their training videos to ensure she meets the standards they have set for themselves.
Alongside “Season of Memories,” GFRIEND is set to embark on a reunion tour, with concerts scheduled in South Korea, Japan, Hong Kong, and Taiwan.
