Fontaines D.C. Blend “Bring Me the Horizon” and “Nirvana” for Triple J Cover

Fontaines DC Releases New Cover

Fontaines DC has unveiled their cover of “Bring Me” from the track “You Can Feel My Heart,” featuring elements inspired by the “heart-shaped” Nirvana aesthetic.

Reimagining a Classic

The performance, recorded for Triple J’s ‘Like A Version’ series, showcases the Irish group reinterpreting the song from their 2013 album “Sempiternal.” They blend it with Nirvana’s track from their 1993 release, “In Utero.” The band stripped down the arrangement by eliminating the guitar to offer a minimalist take.

The guitarist, Konor Kerley, elaborates on the choice of the cover: “It was Grian’s (Chatten, vocalist) idea, and I believe the sound of this song features electronic elements and an overall atmosphere that resonates with themes from our latest album, ‘Romance.’ It felt like an excellent starting point, and it’s a beautifully balanced song.”
