FKA Twigs Withdraws from Coachella and Cancels Additional North American Dates Due to Visa Issues

FKA Twigs Expresses Heartbreak Over Visa Issues

FKA Twigs revealed to her fans that she felt “destroyed” after visa complications forced her to cancel the remaining tour dates in North America.

Cancellation of Tour Dates

At the end of last month, FKA Twigs turned to social media to inform fans about the cancellation of several upcoming shows in the United States and Canada due to visa problems.

“I was informed that the production did not submit the correct documents in a timely manner for us to get our visas to the United States and perform,” the singer explained. “This means that, against my will, I will have to remove New York, Chicago, and Toronto from my show.”

Now, the artist known for “Children’s Things” has stated that “ongoing visa problems” will lead to the cancellation of the rest of the dates this month, including her festival performances at Coachella and Axe Creemonia.

She apologized to fans on X/Twitter, writing: “It hurts me to say this because I am so excited to share the creation into which I’ve poured my soul, which I believe is one of my most powerful works. I know this news impacts many of you who have already made plans and spent money to see these shows.”

She pledged to address all affected dates as quickly as possible, advising ticket holders to contact their point of purchase for detailed information and refund procedures. In conclusion, she shared some photographs of her “favorite parts of the show that we worked so hard on.”

Recently bringing EUSEXUA to London, the performance earned a four-star review from NME‘s Alex Rigotti, who wrote: “Dancers hang chains connected to her dress at all four corners of the stage, and each spotlight is tied to it; The Twigs have no option but to bare her soul to the audience.”

“To conclude the set with a song expressing such spiritual anguish delivered with magnificent vocals, every quiver and crack in her voice is profoundly felt, marking her most connected performance of the night. Now it is Eusexis.”

In a glowing five-star review of the recording “Eusexua,” Anisa Ahmed wrote for NME: “The Twigs successfully demonstrated that the fusion of music, movement, mind, soul, and body can be transformed into sound, weaving these elements into a cohesive and transcendental artistic experience. She brings her distinctive sense of creativity and spirituality, materializing the intangible, reminding us You have one life to live, do it free. What could be better than that?”
