Firebird Invests “Tens of Millions” in New Partnership with Yungblud

Transformative Partnership

Firebird Music Holdings has entered into what is described as a “transformation transaction” with British artist Jungblud (real name Dominic Harrison).

According to Firebird, this agreement consolidates the primary business components of Yungblud, including Recorded music (released through Capitol Records/Universal Music Group), Bastrooling (managed by Creative Artists/Caa), and other enterprises under a so-called “general growth model.”

This model will facilitate Yungblud’s contributions from his recorded music, tours, merchandise, clothing lines, brand transactions, and more, through a new entity called YB Inc.

Investment and Future Prospects

Firebird has confirmed that the company is investing “tens of millions of dollars” into this venture. The agreement is referred to as an “industry first” and aims for “joint long-term growth of revenue across all projects.”

Both Yungblud and Firebird will hold an equal number of shares in the new company, YB Inc. According to Bloomberg, reports suggest that the British artist is in the process of building a 100 million dollar business.

Yungblud’s ventures include a music festival called Bludfest, which he inaugurated in the UK last year.

He also oversees a fashion and lifestyle brand called Beautifully Romanticized, Accidentally Injured, likely developed in collaboration with Jesse Joe Stark.

As part of the transaction with Firebird, Jungblud and his management team at Special Projects Music will receive infrastructural support from the “Ecosystem of Technologies, Talents, Relations, Capital, and Company Experience.”

Artist-Centric Approach

This partnership highlights Yungblud’s acquisition of Firebird, founded in 2022 by former Ticketmaster CEO Nathan Hubbard and ex-partner Nat Zilha, with Raine Group as the primary investor.

Zilha commented recently that his partnership with Yungblud embodies the culmination of everything envisioned since the founding of Firebird.

“Now we have a team, infrastructure, capital, data, and results to help artists rethink both their business and their relationship with their fans.”

Nat Zilha

Zilha, co-founder of Firebird and executive chairman, stated: “We are at the very beginning of an evolutionary moment for artists.”

Firebird, which claims to support “1000 artists around the world,” has invested in several music-related companies over the past few years.

In September 2022, MBW reported that the American company acquired a minority stake in Red Light Management.

Two months later, they invested significantly in the UK label Transgressive Records.

In June 2023, Firebird announced through an article in Billboard that it also acquired stakes in NTERTAIN, Mick Management, Nashville music publisher Masika for the Number, British label One Two Many Music, and the British dance music label Defected.

Nat Zilha mentioned to Billboard that, while Firebird had made minority investments, “Most of the transactions we’ve engaged in are focused on acquiring major stakes.”

According to The Wall Street Journal, the company raised over 400 million dollars from investors including Goldman Sachs, KKR, and the Pritzker Organization.

In September, the company discussed a joint venture with an artistic firm based in Los Angeles, Hills Artists.

“From the very beginning, my goal was to break the wall, expand the possibilities of fluidity between an artist, art, and a fan, and this opportunity allows me to do this further, faster, and stronger—the future seems limitless.”

Jungblud

“From day one, Jungblud has always been about a deep connection with people,” he stated. “Even before I had a fan base, I sought out individuals who believed in a shared vision. As everything evolved beautifully, I remained steadfast to this core concept.

“All that I do will prioritize authentic connection: creating a global community rooted in love, shared vision, and always placing art and message above commerce. The Firebird team fully comprehends this and supports me in developing a unique model tailored to my artistic identity.”

Yungblud added: “This allows me to broaden my artistic vision across various domains—music, comics, fashion—while continuing to nurture my existing relationships with my record label and others. Ultimately, this is the future, and it reflects the new direction of the industry. There is no more ‘formula,’ and that’s incredibly liberating.

“This emphasizes the ‘truth’ as the central element of impactful art or artistry. The opportunity ahead permits accelerated progress and infinite possibilities. I’m excited!”

“This partnership infrastructure will empower Jungblud and future artists to reach their creative and business potential by seamlessly integrating their projects under one cohesive brand that fosters a deep connection with their fanbase.”

Nathan Hubbard, Firebird

Commenting on the agreement, Nathan Hubbard, co-founder and CEO of Firebird, remarked: “As artists continue to expand beyond recorded music into other ventures, we have created an ecosystem to enhance all facets of their creative endeavors, deepening fan engagement and driving substantial collective revenue growth.

“Yungblud exemplifies the modern artist-entrepreneur paradigm, having thoughtfully and intentionally cultivated his fan communities across diverse sectors.

“This partnership infrastructure will allow Jungblud and other artists of the future to optimize their creative and business pursuits by integrating their projects under one unified brand, which strengthens their primary relationship with their fanbase.”

Firebird describes Yungblud as “a leading cultural figure for Gen Z.”

The company highlights his accomplishments, including multi-platinum EPs, critically acclaimed albums, ANSHILARY TUS Global Tours, and the Sunday Times No. 1 titled You Need to Exist.

He has collaborated with various artists, including Halsey, Machine Gun Kelly, Travis Barker, Lil Yachty, Ozzy Osbourne, and many more.
