Finn Wolfhard Unveils His Debut Solo Album Titled “Happy Birthday”

Finn Wolfhard’s Solo Album Announcement

Finn Wolfhard revealed his debut solo album “Happy Hunday” on June 6, along with the release of his new single “Choose the Last.”

New Track and Music Video

The latest offering from the Stranger Things actor comes with a DIY music video featuring Wolfhard, who performs in front of a green screen set against rocky backgrounds.

“Happy Hunday” is comprised of nine tracks, stemming from Wolfhard’s personal goal to write 50 songs by the end of 2022. This album continues his musical journey following his previous endeavors with Calpurnia and Duo The Aubreys.

“I ended up writing a lot of mediocre songs, but some that I felt proud of went to The Aubreys,” Wolfhard shares. “I started to notice common themes in many songs related to my identity, anxiety, nostalgia, childhood, and loneliness. All these aspects contributed to a larger picture. I knew I wanted to create a record, but I wasn’t sure about the specific songs.”

Discussing the connection between his acting and music careers, Wolfhard remarks: “Music has always been something I can control. While I am very thankful for my acting career, which has opened many doors for me, now that I am an adult, it feels different. I still love acting, but when I’m alone, playing guitar and writing songs gives me a completely different feeling that I seek out.”

The tracklist for the album includes:

1. 'Happy Birthday'
2. 'Choose the Latter'
3. 'EAT'
4. 'Objection!'
5. 'Evetown There, Dear'
6. 'Trailers After the Onset of Darkness'
7. 'Crown'
8. 'You'
9.
