Fat White Family’s Side Project Y Unveils Debut EP with New Single “Why”

London newcomers Yes have officially signed with Hideous Mink Records and SO Recordings, announcing their self-titled debut EP, set for release on April 4, along with their first single, 'Why'.

Band Members and Their Background

The band comprises members associated with Fat White Family, Mitraffle, and Pregoblin. The five-piece lineup features Adam Brennan on vocals and guitar, Sophie Coppin on vocals and synthesizer, Dan GB on bass, Fells on drums, and Harry McHale on saxophone.

About the Single “Why”

“Why” is a track that explores profound questions. “It’s an ode to the endless unanswered inquiries ranging from the trivial to the most significant philosophical enigmas,” the band explains. “The saxophone takes center stage in the chorus, while the synth and guitar replace traditional lyrical verses, leading us to the realization that this question can only be addressed through music.”
