Tribute to Talos
Dermot Kennedy, The Staves, Olafur Arnalds, and others honored Talos on an Irish talk show over the weekend – watch the video below.
Talos, born Eoin French, passed away in August last year following a brief illness. He was 36 years old. In a statement from his team, the musician, originally from Cork, Ireland, was described as “a beautiful soul, a true artist, son, husband, father, and friend.”
Musical Tribute Performance
During the season premiere of The Tommy Tiernan Show last Saturday night (January 4), a group of former Talos collaborators came together to perform a poignant version of “We Didn’t Know We Were Ready.”
This song was initially crafted by French alongside Arnalds, Niamh Regan, and Ye Vagabonds for the 2023 Sounds From A Safe Harbor festival in Cork, as stated in the release. Line of best fit.
Kennedy, The Staves, Arnalds, and Ye Vagabonds were joined during the tribute on the RTÉ One talk show by Hófríður Akadóttir, Kate Ellis, Sandraati Fay, Steph French, Laoise Leahy, Memorial, and Christoph van der Ven.
