Memorable Performances
The former Fugees performed at a festive event in New York’s Radio City Music Hall on Friday (February 14), delivering a medley of their greatest hits, including “Lost,” “Ex-Factor,” “911,” and their moving track “Killing Me Softly.”
“Wow @nbcsnl is just wow. Incredible! I can’t believe that I look,” Adele wrote in her Instagram stories, alongside a video of her singing “Someone Like You” on television.

Among other star-studded appearances at the anniversary show, Lady Gaga surprised everyone by joining Andy Samberg for a medley of Lonely Island hits, including “Dick in a Box.”
Meanwhile, the surviving members of Nirvana—Krist Novoselic, Dave Grohl, and Pat Smear—reunited for the second time in two weeks, this time with Post Malone providing vocals for “Smells Like Teen Spirit.”
Miley Cyrus also performed her Grammy-winning hit, delivering a viral performance that included shout-outs to Paul Rudd, Adam Sandler, and SNL creator Lorne Michaels, while Jack White closed the show with a cover of a Nile Rodgers song and an uplifting version of “Seven Nation Army.”
Celebrations will continue on Sunday (February 16) with the SNL 50 Anniversary Special, featuring guests like Paul McCartney, Sabrina Carpenter, and Paul Simon.
Controversies and Legal Battles
One notable absence from Lauryn Hill’s stage on Friday was fellow Fugees member Pras Michel, who stated he had “finished” with the group back in November. He currently faces a potential 20-year prison sentence after being found guilty of involvement in a billion-dollar Malaysian money laundering scheme.
Michel also filed a lawsuit against Hill in October, accusing her of fraud following the cancellation of their anniversary tour just days before it was set to start.
Meanwhile, Adele recently sent a bouquet of flowers to Rachel Lori to congratulate her on her Brit Award win, and she gave potential buyers of her former mansion a fright by claiming it was “haunted.”
The singer is also facing a lawsuit from a Brazilian samba composer who alleges that her song “Million Years Ago” is a “clear” case of plagiarism of his composition “Mulhers (Women).”
